HOW TOASTMASTERS WORKS
Come and learn more about the Toastmasters movement and how to make
the most of the Toastmasters experience for your personal development
and that of others.
SO YOU ARE AN OFFICER
These presentations, one for each office, focus on the duties, roles
and responsibilities of the officers. All officers all exposed to
all the presentations to create a better understanding of how the
roles fit together, to create a cohesive leadership squad.
OFFICERS’ WORKSHOP
This is a Breakout session where groups of officers discuss and
exchange best practices for their respective roles. A facilitator
will lead each group and each Club Officer is expected to provide
input to the discussion. The group will designate a scribe to record
the discussion. The group will plan a 10-minute presentation.
MENTORING THE MEMBER FOR SUCCESS
This workshop is designed to illustrate the benefits of a mentoring
program within the club, for every member. Toastmasters International
Mentoring Programs will be explained and the importance of a mentor
to the individual Toastmaster will be outlined. Attendees will learn
how to contribute to a mentoring program that works for their club.
TAKE THE TERROR OUT OF THE TALK
This session will help to deal with your fear of public speaking
and to focus on the delivery of your presentations. You will learn
how others have dealt with their fears and how you could make that
fear energise you.
OFFICERS’ PRESENTATIONS
Each Group of Officers from the Officers’ Workshop will make
a 10-minute presentation on their respective best practices and
recommendations for success clubs.
